Another Pouch (Sewing Project #5)

This is another try on making pouch. This time I use calico fabric which seems to have my favourite off-white colour. Other than blue and maroon, I eventually loves off-white or khaki, or light brown (does anyone can explain to me the difference?).

So here it is. I add another pocket in front, complete with the ruffles (this is also my first try on making ruffles ^_^ how do you think it goes?). I am quite satisfy with the result. I guess I'll make another one soon :)

See ya! :D

Kawaii Pouch (Sewing Project #4)

Do you remember when I was posting on the link for sewing pouch tutorial. Well, few days ago I tried myself to do it. Anyway, this is the first time I learnt how to sew zipper. It was scary before, but after browsing and seeing few tutorials on how to attach zipper, the monster was getting smaller :P

So, this is the pouch I made. A simple pouch, yet I know now how to put zipper on it, not so scary anymore ^_^

Do you have the same project? :)

Sewing Project #3

Forgive me if I still smoothing my way of sewing by making another.... cover! This time it was pillow cover. I have seen some pretty pictures form Japanese Craft Book and immediately falling in love with this bag.

Someday I will make that bag (I'm dreaming of it), but for now I'll just take the idea of the ribbon and use it on my pillows. Here are the result!

Is it close enough? Tell me what you think.. ^_^

Next Sewing Project (Project #2)

It is said that most of the things that are here right now is because we need them to exist. Many things are made out of necessity. And so is this next sewing project.

It began when I got a package of external harddrive for my lappie (I'm almost run out of space here). It comes without a cover to secure it, so I think I should make one. Once again, I am still not really good on making pattern, yet I just try to figure it out how.

What I need for my harddrive cover is a pocket for the machine, and one pocket for its cable. I cannot think of other place for the second pocket (that I am capable making it right now xixixi...) other than in front of it.
I am very lucky to have these cute fabrics, I got polkadot and stripe light caramel.

I want to make an 11 x 17 cm cover, and since it is shock-sensitive-machine, I need it to be padded. So, here is the final end. I also put small pocket (the stripe fabric) for the cable.

I know it's not perfect, yet I got what I need. So I am quite happy with the result. Yeeeeiyyyy, I made another cover. Sewing project #2 is accomplished ^_^
